Vinnytsia region deploys mines along border with Transnistria
Vinnytsia region is strengthening its defences along the border with the unrecognised region of Transnistria, the regional military administration reported.
Engineering units are installing minefields in the Tulchyn and Mohyliv-Podilskyi districts to neutralise potential threats to Ukraine’s national security.
Officials emphasised that all measures comply with international humanitarian law and prioritise civilian safety. Local residents have been provided with clear guidance to protect themselves.
Chisinau has expressed conditional support for Transnistria amid the energy crisis, while Moldova is preparing a strategic plan for reintegration of the region.
