The most intense 24 hours on the front lines: over 200 clashes and thousands of attacks
Over the past 24 hours, 224 combat engagements took place along the front line, with Russian forces launching massive attacks using aircraft, drones, and artillery across dozens of sectors. The fiercest battles are raging in several sectors simultaneously, while Ukrainian defense forces continue to hold back the pressure and inflict losses on the enemy.
Intense fighting erupted again along the front line over the past 24 hours, as Russian troops have not slowed the pace of their attacks and continue to simultaneously apply pressure with airstrikes, drones, and assault groups along nearly the entire line of contact, forcing Ukrainian troops to hold their defenses under constant strain.
According to operational data, a total of 224 combat engagements have been recorded since the start of the day; the enemy carried out dozens of airstrikes, dropped hundreds of guided bombs, and also made massive use of kamikaze drones, firing thousands of rounds at both Ukrainian military positions and populated areas.
In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk directions, the enemy attacked with airstrikes and artillery, using aerial bombs and multiple launch rocket systems, while simultaneously attempting to advance in several areas; however, some of the fighting there continues to this day.
The situation is no less tense in the Southern Slobozhansky direction, where the enemy attempted several times to break through Ukrainian positions near a number of settlements but met with resistance, and some of the assaults were repelled.
In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy attempted to attack Ukrainian positions five times, but without success, while in the Lyman direction, nearly two dozen assaults took place, some of which are still ongoing, indicating that the intensity of the fighting remains high.
In the Sloviansk direction, Ukrainian forces repelled most of the enemy’s attempts to advance, as the enemy attacked in several areas simultaneously, while in the Kramatorsk direction, the enemy launched several more assaults without success.
The situation remains tense in the Kostiantynivka sector, where Ukrainian forces repelled more than ten attacks, while in the Pokrovsk sector, the enemy launched 33 assaults, attempting to break through the defenses across a wide section of the front, however, Ukrainian units continue to hold their positions.
According to preliminary estimates, dozens of invaders were eliminated in the Pokrovsk direction, along with equipment, ammunition depots, and shelters, as well as a significant number of enemy drones, which demonstrates the high effectiveness of Ukrainian defense forces even under intense pressure.
In other sectors, particularly the Oleksandrivka, Huliaipole, Orikhiv, and Dnipro directions, Russian troops also attempted to attack, but for the most part without significant changes on the front line, while Ukrainian defenders continue to repel the offensive and hold key positions. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Russia may announce another mobilization this fall amid the difficult situation on the Ukrainian front, the failure of the winter-spring offensive, and significant losses. This was stated by State Duma Deputy Andrei Gurulov, linking the possible decision to Russia’s military setbacks in the war against Ukraine.
A new mobilization in Russia could harm Moscow, according to intelligence.
