Night attack on 20 February: air defence neutralised 107 out of 128 drones and missiles
On the night of 20 February 2026, Russian forces carried out a massive attack against Ukraine, using ballistic weapons and 128 unmanned aerial vehicles of various types.
This was reported by the Ukrainian Air Force.
According to the Ukrainian Air Force, Ukraine’s air defence forces neutralised 107 aerial targets. Air defence units, mobile fire groups and electronic warfare systems were involved in repelling the attack.
The occupiers launched an Iskander-M ballistic missile from Russia’s Rostov region, as well as 128 unmanned aerial vehicles of the Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas and other types from the directions of Bryansk, Kursk, Oryol, Shatalovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (Russian Federation), and from the temporarily occupied territory of Donetsk region.
About 80 of them were Shahed-type drones.
As of 08:30, air defence had shot down or suppressed 107 enemy unmanned aerial vehicles of the Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas and other types in the north, south and east of the country.
A ballistic missile strike and 21 attack unmanned aerial vehicles were recorded at 14 locations. In addition, debris from downed targets fell at one location.

Previously, explosions were reported in temporarily occupied Crimea, where the Belbek and Saky airfields may have been targeted.
Recently, a powerful explosion was heard near the Kacha airfield in temporarily occupied Crimea, and local residents reported gunfire.
On the night of 17 February 2026, temporarily occupied Crimea became the target of a large-scale attack by Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles.
