Night attack on Cherkasy region: Air defense destroyed 6 missiles and 21 drones
On the night of December 27, the enemy carried out another combined air attack on Ukraine. Numerous aerial threats were also recorded in Cherkasy region.
This was reported by the head of the regional military administration, Ihor Taburets.
Air defense forces in the region intercepted and destroyed 6 Russian missiles and 21 unmanned aerial vehicles.
As of now, no reports have been received by emergency services regarding injuries or damage to residential infrastructure.
At the same time, cleanup operations are ongoing in Uman following the previous day’s missile strike. Preliminary data indicate that at least 123 houses were damaged, 9 of which were completely destroyed. A commission continues to inspect the affected properties.
Rescue and specialized services are working on site in full coordination with district and city authorities. Assistance is also being provided to victims by the regional branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross.
Currently, five injured people remain in medical facilities and are receiving all necessary care.
In Kyiv, on December 27, another massive Russian strike occurred. Since nighttime, the enemy used nearly 500 drones, a large number of Shahed drones, and 40 missiles, including Kinzhal missiles. The main targets were the capital’s energy and civilian infrastructure.
The Russian terrorist attack on Kyiv lasted almost the entire night. Damage was recorded at multiple locations across seven districts of the capital.
