Defense of Pokrovsk continues, difficult situation in Myrnohrad
Units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces in the Eastern Operational Command (UVO “East”) zone repelled 90 Russian assaults over the past 24 hours and continue to hold back enemy pressure, according to the press center of UVO “East.”
In the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian defenders stopped 47 assault and offensive actions by the aggressor in the areas of Shakhove, Nikanorivka, Rodynske, Myrnohrad, Pokrovsk, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske, Dachne, and toward Novopavlivka.
Yesterday, Russian forces in the Pokrovsk direction suffered 96 casualties (killed and wounded). Ukrainian troops destroyed one artillery system, nine vehicles, and 11 drones; they also hit four enemy artillery systems, two vehicles, nine personnel shelters, and an enemy ammunition depot.
Pokrovsk has become a critically important direction in Ukraine’s defense, according to Sky News.
