Shelling left parts of Donetsk region without electricity and water
Due to massive Russian shelling in Donetsk, energy and municipal infrastructure have been damaged, leaving several communities simultaneously without electricity, water, and heating.
This was reported by Ukrenergo on their Facebook page.
The most severe situation has developed in Kramatorsk, Druzhkivka, and a number of frontline settlements, where emergency repair work is ongoing. Local authorities are urging residents to limit electricity consumption after partial restoration to avoid overloading the network. Utility services are operating in an intensified mode but warn that full stabilisation may take time.
In Kramatorsk, after strikes on the energy infrastructure, part of the city remained without electricity, and consequently, without water and heating in homes. Energy workers are gradually restoring power by districts; however, emergency outages are still possible.
For residents who have been without electricity for hours, “сommunity support hub” have been set up, where people can charge their phones, warm up, and have a hot drink. Authorities emphasise that these locations will operate for as long as people need them.
The situation in Druzhkivka is even more acute — the city simultaneously lost water and electricity due to damage to the networks. Emergency crews are working in several areas, initially focusing on stabilising electricity supply, as water systems cannot function properly without it. Residents are advised to store technical and drinking water whenever power is restored. For the most vulnerable — elderly people and families with children — water delivery has been organised.
In frontline communities of Donetsk, the effects of the shelling are even more pronounced — some villages remain without stable communication and electricity for extended periods. Repair teams from other regions are assisting local specialists in restoring power lines.
Meanwhile, rescuers remind people of the importance of safety when using generators to prevent fires and carbon monoxide poisoning. In particular, they advise placing generators only outdoors or in well-ventilated spaces.
Russia attacked Fastiv for the third time in one night.
The occupiers also struck energy infrastructure in Lviv region, resulting in casualties.
