The Office of the Prosecutor General has released statistics on the number of children killed by Russia

Since the start of the Russian Federation’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, at least 707 children have been killed by Russian terror, and another 2,578 have suffered injuries of varying severity.

The Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine released these tragic figures on June 4—International Day of Innocent Children Victims of Aggression.

Currently, law enforcement agencies are documenting and investigating every crime committed by the occupiers against minors.

The published statistics reflect only officially confirmed and documented cases in government-controlled territories.

Prosecutor General Oleksiy Kravchenko emphasized that the true scale of the tragedy, especially in areas of active hostilities and in temporarily occupied territories, may be significantly greater.

The occupiers used their entire arsenal of heavy weapons against the civilian population.

“Behind every number lies a life that was meant to continue. The first day of school. Graduation. First love. One’s own family. The future. Russia took all of this away with missiles, aerial bombs, artillery, and drones. It killed children in their own beds,” Kravchenko stated.

Currently, Ukrainian prosecutors are overseeing more than 6,000 criminal cases involving war crimes against children.

Thanks to the painstaking work of investigative agencies, 234 Russian military personnel and other individuals involved have already been notified of their status as suspects. In addition, indictments against 108 war criminals have already been submitted to the courts for consideration.

The Ukrainian side emphasizes that punishment is inevitable for all ranks of the Russian army and its leadership.

Law enforcement agencies are gathering evidence not only against the direct perpetrators but also against the organizers of the attacks. All collected materials will be submitted to international tribunals to bring the perpetrators to justice.

This was reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine.
