Occupiers ignore heavy losses in attempts to capture Siversk

Russian forces have recently intensified offensive actions in the Siversk direction in Donetsk Oblast.

This was reported on air by Dmytro Zaporozhets, spokesman for the 11th Army Corps.

According to the spokesman, the number of attacks is growing, and the enemy is increasingly using motorised vehicles — including motorcycles — to assault the positions of Ukrainian defenders. Fighting continues despite the fact that many Russian soldiers remain lying on the battlefield.

“The enemy is trying to use the logistics route leading from the village of Verkhniokamyanske to reach the southern part of the city and, if possible, gain a foothold there. The latest attempts have failed, and the enemy’s personnel and equipment have been destroyed. It is telling that after the 19th, the enemy, bypassing the bodies of its own soldiers, continues to advance along the same route and storm our positions,” Zaporozhets said. He added that this demonstrates that Russia’s political and military goals remain unchanged.

According to available information, Russian forces are trying to seize strategically important areas by exploiting logistical routes to move reinforcements. Despite numerous losses in personnel and equipment, the enemy continues its offensive, indicating an unwavering strategy aimed at securing positions near populated areas and continuing combat operations.

The situation highlights the high intensity of fighting in eastern Ukraine, where the enemy persists with its tactics despite major human losses. Ukrainian forces remain alert and prepared for escalating challenges in the war.

In the Pokrovsk direction, heavy fighting continues, with Ukrainian troops holding their ground despite Russia’s repeated attempts to breach the defence. A volunteer battalion commander reported that Russian forces are suffering significant daily losses — at least a thousand soldiers per day.
