Occupiers openly admit to committing war crimes – Intelligence intercept
Near Pokrovsk, two Russian servicemen shot local civilians and fled their combat positions.
This became known from a radio intercept released by the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine.
In the conversation between the occupiers, one of them expresses concern that new units may arrive and admits to being involved in the shooting of civilians.
The Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine stresses the significance of such crimes, which point to a deliberate policy of the Russian army to commit war crimes against the civilian population and even against its own soldiers.
In addition, the intercept contains orders to detain the servicemen involved in these killings. The Defence Intelligence of Ukraine states that there will be just retribution for every crime committed against the Ukrainian people.
These events indicate systematic killings and extrajudicial executions, confirming the existence of a targeted policy pursued by the aggressor state. Such a situation at the front will continue to endanger civilian lives and reflect the brutality of the conflict.
