Occupiers introduce online real estate registration in temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhia
In the temporarily occupied territories of Zaporizhzhia region, Russia has launched a digital platform for property registration, which consolidates the results of occupation and provides legal grounds for transferring property to Russian citizens.
This was reported by the Center for National Resistance.
The move is seen as a strategy of colonization and property appropriation, where the absence of legitimate owners is exploited to re-register their assets under new “owners.”
Occupational authorities present these changes as a convenient service for remote registration. The program is set to operate in Russia from 2026, with plans to extend it across the entire territory.
Analysts note that such registration creates a new group of people with vested interests in maintaining the occupation regime, while simultaneously depriving indigenous residents of access to their rights.
Its significance also lies in supporting the resettlement of loyal populations into occupied regions and enabling control over the flow of information.
Meanwhile, Russian occupiers are actively opening online casinos in these regions, allowing them to profit financially from the seized territories.
In temporarily occupied Tokmak, Zaporizhzhia region, representatives of Chechen units have begun active expansion aimed at taking control of local businesses.
