Partisans disable locomotive in Crimea, disrupting Russian troop supplies

Underground agents carried out another sabotage operation in Crimea: partisans disabled a diesel locomotive near Simferopol, disrupting Russian military supply lines to the Zaporizhzhia front.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine, citing the “ATESh” movement on Telegram.

“Our agents destroyed a locomotive at the railway station near Simferopol. The locomotive cannot be quickly repaired,” the group said.

The operation took place on the eve of 18 March — the date Russia marks as the “day of Crimea’s reunification.”

According to ATESh, this railway line is used to supply Russian units fighting in the Zaporizhzhia direction, where active combat continues. A shipment of ammunition, spare parts, and other military supplies was due to pass through this hub.

“The destruction of the locomotive effectively blocked these deliveries — units were left without planned resupply, which has impacted their operational capabilities on the frontline,” ATESh summarised.

Underground agents regularly strike Russian occupier targets, particularly logistics infrastructure. Previously, the ATESh movement carried out a successful sabotage operation in temporarily occupied Luhansk region.

It should be recalled that ATESh also discovered a Russian military equipment graveyard near Sevastopol and destroyed an electric locomotive in Bryansk.
