Pivnenko: Russia will be able to sustain its offensive for another 1–2 years
Russia has sufficient mobilization resources to sustain the intensity of hostilities for another one or two years.
This was stated by the commander of the National Guard of Ukraine, Oleksandr Pivnenko.
According to him, despite significant losses, Russia can continue to replenish its personnel thanks to its large human resources and the characteristics of its political system.
At the same time, Pivnenko emphasized that the enemy is unable to form powerful reserves for large-scale offensive operations, particularly in northern Ukraine.
He noted that currently the enemy’s main objectives are concentrated in the east—specifically, Pokrovsk and Kostiantynivka—while the capture of Sloviansk and Kramatorsk is not a matter for even the next few years.
The commander emphasized that Ukraine is working to establish a defense system that will render further enemy offensives ineffective and excessively costly.
According to him, Russia faces a difficult choice, as withdrawing from the war could trigger internal problems.
Pivnenko also stressed that Ukrainians continue to resist and will not allow the enemy’s plans to be carried out.
The occupiers are shelling Vovchansk to capture the city and its surroundings, according to the "Forpost" brigade.
Ukrainian troops recently advanced in the Donetsk region. This refers to the area between Kostiantynivka and Druzhkivka, where the Defense Forces were able to improve their positions.
