The Pokrovsk sector is once again the hottest: 38 attacks have been repelled
Since the start of the day on September 15, there have been 219 combat engagements along the front line. Russian forces launched the most attacks in the Pokrovsk direction, where Ukrainian troops repelled 38 assaults. According to the General Staff, 66 invaders were killed in this sector of the front over the past 24 hours, and dozens of pieces of military equipment and enemy targets were destroyed.
Heavy fighting continued along the front lines throughout September 15. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine recorded 219 combat engagements. Russian troops also carried out 68 airstrikes and dropped 249 guided bombs. In addition, the occupiers deployed 4,153 kamikaze drones and fired 1,638 rounds at Ukrainian positions and populated areas. At the same time, no offensive activity by Russian troops was recorded over the past 24 hours in the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors.
Where the Russians Tried to Advance
In the Southern Slobozhansky direction, Russian forces launched 15 assaults on Defense Forces positions. Fighting took place near Lyman, Prylipka, Starytsia, Izbytske, and Mala Vovcha. Another clash in this sector was still ongoing as of this evening.
In the Kupiansk sector, Ukrainian forces repelled two assaults. The Russians attempted to advance near Kivsharivka and Tabayivka. Another battle was still ongoing there.
In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian forces stopped six Russian attempts to break through. Fighting took place in the areas of Novoselivka, Drobysheve, Stavky, Lyman, and Dibrova. Another clash was ongoing.
In the Sloviansk sector, Ukrainian forces repelled four enemy attacks. The Russians launched assaults near Ozerny, Kryva Luka, and Mykolaivka.
In the Kramatorsk sector, one attempted advance was recorded near Yurkivka.
The Pokrovsk sector remains one of the hottest
The Pokrovsk sector saw the highest number of attacks over the past 24 hours. Ukrainian forces repelled 38 assaults. Russian troops attempted to advance in the areas of Sofiivka, Pryiut, Kucherovyi Yar, Vilne, Novyi Shakhovyi, Stepiv, Hannivka, Novyi Donbas, Dobropillia, Bilytske, Vodyanske, Krasnopodillia, Novofedorivka, Vasylivka, Serhiivka, Udachne, and Molodetske.
According to preliminary data from the General Staff, 66 Russian soldiers were killed in this sector of the front over the past 24 hours, and five more occupiers were wounded.
Ukrainian defenders also destroyed 12 vehicles, an artillery system, five pieces of specialized equipment, a drone command post, and two ammunition depots.
In addition, 46 Russian military shelters were destroyed. Another 101 shelters, three vehicles, three artillery systems, one piece of specialized equipment, and eight UAV control centers were damaged.
According to the General Staff, 147 drones of various types were also destroyed or neutralized in the Pokrovsk direction.
Fighting continued in other areas as well
In the Kostiantynivka sector, Ukrainian forces repelled eight Russian assaults. Fighting took place in the areas of Kostiantynivka and Illinivka, as well as in the directions of Osykove, Mykolaipillia, and Novohryhorivka. Four more clashes were ongoing.
In the Oleksandrivka sector, the Defense Forces repelled one Russian attack in the Verbove area.
In the Huliaipole sector, seven attacks were recorded. Russian troops attempted to advance in the areas of Hirky and Charivne.
Ukrainian forces repelled another attack on the Orikhiv sector near Zarichne.
In the Dnipro sector, Russian forces did not conduct any assault operations over the past 24 hours.
The General Staff noted that there were no significant changes in the situation in other sectors. Operational data on casualties and the situation at the front may be subject to change. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook.
On September 15, a Russian drone strike was recorded in the Svyatoshynsky district of Kyiv. Black smoke is rising from the site.
In the Solomyanskyi district of the capital, a strike was recorded on the grounds of a garage cooperative.
