Air defense forces have shot down more than 150 drones in western Ukraine
In western Ukraine, air defense forces repelled a massive attack by Russian drones and destroyed 154 unmanned aerial vehicles of various types within their area of responsibility. Aircraft, anti-aircraft units, mobile fire groups, and electronic warfare systems were deployed to repel the attack. This was reported by the "West" Air Command of the Ukrainian Air Force.
Ukrainian air defenders repelled one of the most massive drone attacks of the night, which was directed at western regions, and were able to stop the wave of drones while they were still in the air, preventing them from causing critical damage.
Several defense components were involved in the destruction of the aerial targets—mobile fire groups, fighter aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare systems, and drone operators—all working in close coordination. According to military officials, within their area of responsibility, air defense units destroyed 154 enemy drones of various types, which significantly reduced the threat to critical infrastructure and the civilian population in the western regions.
The command emphasizes that this success was made possible by the coordinated efforts of all components of the air defense system, which acted quickly, precisely, and continuously throughout the repulsion of the attack.
