Kyiv was struck by an X-101 missile manufactured in the second quarter of 2026

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that during the latest attack on a residential building in Kyiv, Russian forces used an X-101 missile that had just rolled off the production line. An expert analysis confirmed that the munition was manufactured in the second quarter of this year. This indicates that Russia continues to successfully obtain foreign components for its military-industrial complex while circumventing global sanctions.

Zelenskyy made this statement in an evening address.

The head of state emphasized the critical importance of blocking schemes to circumvent restrictions. According to him, Ukraine is preparing new international measures to make the sanctions pressure on the aggressor more effective and painful. Zelenskyy stressed that every foreign microchip in a Russian missile is a test of the international community’s ability to stop the Kremlin’s war machine.

As a reminder, 12 deaths, including children, have already been confirmed in Kyiv as a result of this strike. Rescue operations at the site of the tragedy are ongoing, and law enforcement officials are gathering evidence of yet another war crime by the Russian Federation for future international tribunals. Strengthening air defense and tightening sanctions against suppliers of electronics to Russia remain priorities for the government.

Russia cynically called the massive attack on Ukraine a “retaliatory strike”

Over 21,000 customers were left without power due to the Russian attack in the Lviv region

As a reminder, overnight, the Air Defense Forces managed to neutralize 693 aerial targets, including 41 missiles and 652 unmanned aerial vehicles of various types.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Russia’s massive attack on Ukraine is not accidental. In this way, Russian leader Vladimir Putin is attempting to divert the world’s attention from international events, particularly U.S. President Donald Trump’s visit to China.
