The Ukrainian Navy destroyed three Russian maritime drones near the Tendrivska Spit
The Ukrainian Navy, in cooperation with the Main Intelligence Directorate, successfully destroyed three Russian unmanned surface vessels (USVs) that posed a threat to the Ukrainian coastline.
According to military officials, the enemy maritime drones were detected and neutralized in a timely manner thanks to the coordinated efforts of Ukrainian defenders.
The Navy also released a video showing the destruction of one of the Russian unmanned boats.
“Every such successfully repelled attack means lives saved and another blow to the aggressor’s plans,” the Navy emphasized.
The Navy did not specify the exact time and location of the operation. Meanwhile, Serhiy “Flash” Beskrestnov, an advisor to the Ukrainian Minister of Defense, had previously reported an attempted attack by Russian maritime drones.
According to him, at around 4 a.m. on June 23, the enemy attempted to use a group of unmanned boats to strike the Ukrainian coast.
Thanks to the coordinated actions of the Ukrainian military, all enemy boats were detected and destroyed before they could reach their targets.
According to Beskrestnov, the Russian unmanned surface vessels were neutralized in the area of the Tendrivska Spit, located near the temporarily occupied part of the Kherson region.
He also reported that the Russian military used Starlink satellite communications to control the maritime drones.
“Starlink communication systems were installed on the Russian boats because the enemy has no other means of control for operating over long distances,” noted the advisor to the Minister of Defense.

The destruction of three Russian unmanned maritime boats marked yet another successful episode in the fight against new means of maritime warfare, which Russia is increasingly attempting to deploy against Ukraine.
The operation by the Navy and the Main Intelligence Directorate once again confirmed the effectiveness of Ukraine’s system for detecting and neutralizing maritime threats, which allows for the protection of the coastline and strategically important facilities from enemy attacks.
This was reported by the press service of the Ukrainian Navy on Facebook.
Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian defenders have killed 1,260 Russian soldiers, according to the General Staff. Data on enemy equipment losses as of June 24 has also been updated.
Ukrainian drones continue to strike the rear logistics of Russian troops in areas near occupied Crimea. Over the past five days, 193 trucks used to supply the Russian army have been put out of action.
