Air defense forces shot down 77 of 110 Russian drones during a massive attack on Ukraine
Ukraine's air defense forces have shot down 77 of the 110 drones used by Russian troops to attack the country since the evening of April 6.
This was reported by the Ukrainian Air Force on Telegram.
It is noted that the attack began around 6:00 p.m. and was carried out using Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas, and other strike drones from various directions, including Bryansk, Orel, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, as well as from the temporarily occupied Crimea and parts of the Donetsk region. About 70 of them were Shahed-type drones.
The Ukrainian Defense Forces deployed aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems, and mobile fire groups to repel the air attack.
As of 8:00 a.m. on April 7, the destruction or neutralization of 77 enemy drones in the northern, southern, and eastern regions of the country has been confirmed.
At the same time, 31 strike drones were recorded hitting 14 locations, and debris from downed drones was found at 9 additional locations.
The Air Force emphasizes that the attack is ongoing and enemy drones remain in Ukrainian airspace.
Ukraine has implementedemergency power outages in several regions.
