Putin calls European peace proposals “unacceptable”
Russian dictator Putin insists that Europe is putting forward peace proposals for Ukraine that are ‘unacceptable to Russia’ and accuses Europeans of lacking a peaceful agenda.
His statements are quoted by Russian media.
‘We are not going to fight with Europe, but if Europe wants to fight with us, we are ready right now,’ Putin said, commenting on Europe's role in the Ukrainian settlement.
The dictator claims that Europe has removed itself from the ‘Ukrainian settlement’ and is now ‘hindering US efforts’ to resolve the conflict. According to him, Europe can return to the Ukrainian settlement only ‘if it recognises the realities on the ground,’ that is, the occupation of Ukrainian territory.
Recall that Putin may reject the peace plan at a meeting with Witkoff.
Also, the American ‘peace plan’ has been reduced to 19 points and is being kept secret.
