Russia is attacking nearly 20 Ukrainian gas stations per week
Russian forces have significantly increased the number of attacks on Ukrainian gas stations. In early July, up to 20 attacks on gas stations were recorded each week, whereas in the fall of 2025, that figure stood at only 2–3 attacks per week.
According to a specialized publication, 186 cases of gas stations being hit or damaged have been recorded since April 2026. Gas stations in the Sumy, Kharkiv, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, and Mykolaiv regions are most frequently targeted. At the same time, since May, attacks have also spread to the Poltava, Odesa, Dnipropetrovsk, and Kyiv regions.
The UKRNAFTA, WOG, BRSM, Marshal, and BVS chains have suffered the greatest losses in terms of the number of damaged facilities.
