Russia attacked 54 settlements in the Kherson region; there have been fatalities
Over the past 24 hours, Russian forces attacked 54 settlements in the Kherson region, using attack drones, aircraft, and artillery.
As a result of the enemy strikes, two people were killed and another 15 were wounded. Among the casualties were two children.
The following towns and villages came under Russian attack: Antonivka, Beryslav, Blahovishchenske, Urozhayne, Novoraysk, Vysoke, Kostyrka, Borozenske, Zamozhne, Rakivka, Dar’yivka, Zolota Balka, Novovorontsovka, Shevchenkivka, Zymivnyk, Zelenivka, Sadove, Vysunky, Nadiivka, Khreshchenivka, Osokorivka, Mykolaivka, Mykhailivka, Novooleksandrivka, Novotyahynka, Olhivka, Sablukivka, Tyahynka, Komyshany, Chornobaivka, Novodmytrivka, Chaichyne, Lymants, Ingulivka, Vitrove, Ponyativka, Mykilske, Zarichne, Ingulets, Yasna Polyana, Ulyanovka, Fedorivka, Tokarivka, Ivanivka, Bilozerka, Veletenske, Kizomys, Romashkove, Rozliv, Stanislav, Oleksandrivka, Shyroka Balka, Sofiivka, and Kherson.
According to Prokudin, Russian forces targeted critical and social infrastructure, as well as residential neighborhoods.
As a result of the shelling, 11 high-rise buildings and 11 private homes were damaged.
In addition to residential buildings, the Russian attacks damaged a number of civilian facilities.
In particular, the following were affected:
- administrative buildings;
- a church;
- a store;
- a community center;
- a sports complex;
- bank;
- ambulances;
- private cars.
Thus, Russian troops continue to strike civilian and critical infrastructure in the Kherson region, endangering the civilian population.
Despite the ongoing Russian attacks, three people were successfully evacuated from liberated communities in the Kherson region over the past day.
Evacuation efforts are ongoing, as settlements in the region are regularly coming under attack by Russian forces.

In the town of Vyshneve, Bucha District, Kyiv Oblast, a fire broke out in two townhouses following an attack by a Russian strike drone. Structural damage was also reported.
Over the past 24 hours, Russian forces attacked settlements in the Sumy region 62 times. One person was killed and eight others were wounded as a result of the enemy strikes.
Rescue workers extinguished fires in three warehouses that broke out following a Russian attack on the Kyiv region. Firefighters put out the blazes at all three sites.
In Kyiv and several regions, an air raid alert was issued on the evening of September 1 at 6:24 p.m. due to the threat of Russian UAVs. The Ukrainian Air Force urged citizens to immediately seek shelter or follow the “two-wall rule” if safe premises were not accessible.
Ukraine is conducting combat tests of at least four jet interceptors designed to counter Russian jet drones.
