Russia launched a drone attack on the Chernihiv region, causing damage and resulting in casualties
Over the past 24 hours, Russian forces have attacked settlements in the Chernihiv region 33 times using strike drones. The attacks have resulted in civilian casualties, damaged infrastructure, and destroyed educational facilities.
In Ripky, a “Geran” drone struck a business, damaging a warehouse and a locomotive. A 59-year-old employee of the business was injured in the attack.
In the Snovsk district, two “Geran” drones completely destroyed the Novoborovychi Lyceum, where 78 children were attending remote classes.
Also, in the Novhorod-Siverskyi district, strikes by “Lancet” drones damaged a car with a trailer, and in one of the villages of the Ponornytsia community, storage facilities were destroyed.
On the night of June 2, a Russian drone attacked Chernihiv, causing a residential building to catch fire.
Separately, Chaus reported that the day before, a 19-year-old girl was injured in Semenivka by an FPV drone strike. Additionally, a nursing home came under fire today.
Meanwhile, medics were able to stabilize the condition of a 15-year-old boy from the village of Moschenka, who was wounded in an enemy attack the day before.
Also in the evening, a Russian FPV drone attacked a local store in Moshchenka, causing further damage to civilian infrastructure.
The Chernihiv region continues to be under constant attack by Russian drones, which are increasingly striking civilian targets and the civilian population.
