Russia attacks car with drone in Kharkiv region: two killed, three injured
In Kharkiv region, a Russian drone struck a civilian car near the village of Prudjanka, in the Derhachi community. Two people were killed and three others injured to varying degrees.
Oleh Synehubov, head of the Regional Military Administration, said the driver died at the scene, while the injured were taken to hospitals in Kharkiv.
Among those affected are women born in 1960 and 1966, who sustained shrapnel wounds. One of them later died in hospital.
Preliminary reports indicate that all of the deceased and injured are residents of Makarove in the Zolochiv community. Prudjanka is located roughly eight kilometres from the Russian border.
On the night of 21 January, Russian forces launched a large-scale drone attack on southern Odesa region.
Earlier, Russia targeted an industrial facility in Poltava region, sparking fires at several sites.
Fires were also extinguished in Odesa region following Russian strikes.
