Russian drones strike Odesa region

In the night of 21 January, Russian forces launched a large-scale drone attack on the southern part of Odesa region.

The enemy targeted civilian infrastructure, causing damage to residential buildings and industrial facilities. The head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Oleh Kiper, promptly reported on the consequences.

In Odesa Raion, serious damage was recorded to private homes — explosions destroyed walls and roofs of several houses. A warehouse storing furniture was completely destroyed, resulting in significant material losses.

Fires ignited by the strikes were quickly extinguished by emergency services, preventing further spread.

At least one man, aged 50, sustained a leg injury during the attack. He was immediately hospitalised, where doctors are providing qualified care to stabilise his condition.

Preliminary reports indicate no other serious injuries among civilians, though the situation is still being clarified.

For context, Russia recently attacked an industrial facility in Poltava region, causing fires at several locations. Fires in Odesa region were also extinguished following previous Russian strikes.
