Russia attacked Vinnytsia with rocket-powered drones; there are casualties and damage

On the evening of September 2, Russian forces attacked the Vinnytsia region with rocket-powered drones. Two women were injured in the attack, and private homes and surrounding areas were damaged.

According to her, one of the victims was hospitalized with moderate injuries. The other woman refused hospitalization.

“As of now, we know of two injured women. One of them has been hospitalized with moderate injuries. The other refused hospitalization, Zabolotna said.

Vinnytsia Mayor Serhiy Morgunov clarified that the Russian attack took place directly in the regional center. The city’s residential areas sustained damage.

According to local residents, debris from one of the drones flew directly into a room in a residential building. As a result, windows were shattered and the roof was damaged.

Local authorities reported that residential buildings and the surrounding areas were damaged.

Following the Russian strike, emergency services were called in to address the aftermath.

State Emergency Service bomb disposal experts surveyed the area for explosive devices. In addition, a psychologist from the State Emergency Service provided assistance to three people, including a child.

The Ukrainian Air Force had warned the day before about jet-powered UAVs moving toward the Vinnytsia region and its regional capital.

The Russian attack caused damage to residential buildings in Vinnytsia’s private sector, and two people were injured.

Natalia Zabolotna, head of the Vinnytsia Regional State Administration, reported on the consequences of the Russian strike.

Over the past 24 hours, Russian forces carried out 957 strikes on 52 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region. One person was injured as a result of the enemy attacks.

In the Khmelnytskyi region, debris from a downed Russian strike drone caused a fire in the warehouse of one of the local enterprises. The fire covered an area of 200 square meters, according to Serhiy Tyurin, head of the regional state administration.

Over the past day in the Mykolaiv region, 15 private homes were damaged as a result of attacks by Russian Shahed-type strike UAVs. A social services building and three cars were also damaged, according to Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration Head Georgy Reshetilov.
