Russia is trying to expand the combat zone in Kharkiv region — State Border Guard Service of Ukraine
Russian troops are increasing their activity in Kharkiv Oblast and are attempting to expand the combat zone to nearby settlements. In particular, combat activity has been recorded in the direction of the village of Dihtyarne.
This was reported during a telethon broadcast by the spokesperson of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, Andriy Demchenko, according to UA.News.
“The enemy has shown significant activity in the direction of Dihtyarne for quite some time. They are trying to expand the combat zone to neighboring settlements — Nesterne and Kruhle. Over the past day, there have also been attempts at assault actions in these areas,” Demchenko said.

The spokesperson noted that in Kharkiv Oblast, enemy activity is also observed in the direction of the settlement of Dvorichanske.
According to him, the enemy periodically uses small infantry groups, trying to accumulate forces for attacks on the positions of Ukrainian border guards.
Similar attempts are recorded in the area of Vovchansk khutirs, but they do not yield results for the enemy.
Demchenko added that Russian troops shell the border areas of Kharkiv, Sumy, and Chernihiv oblasts on a daily basis.
“Most of the shelling occurs mainly in Kharkiv and Sumy, less so, perhaps, in Chernihiv. But on certain days we see that the intensity of shelling in Chernihiv Oblast, along the border of this region, is also quite high,” the spokesperson added.
