Russia shells Zaporizhzhia; explosion reported in residential area
On the afternoon of January 4, explosions were heard in Zaporizhzhia. A car caught fire in one of the city’s residential neighborhoods.
This was reported by the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov, on Telegram.
According to him, the explosion occurred as a result of an enemy attack on one of the city’s residential areas. A car caught fire during the strike.
Information regarding casualties is currently being clarified.
Previously, the death toll from the Russian missile strike on Kharkiv on January 2 had risen to five, after rescuers discovered another body fragment at the site of the attack.
Earlier reports also detailed the consequences of a Russian attack on the Zhytomyr region, which resulted in injuries and destruction.
Russia also attacked an energy facility in the Lviv region using drones.
As a result of another attack by Russian forces in the Rivne region, a two-story multi-apartment residential building was damaged.
Following a drone attack on the Sumy region, power outages were reported.
