Russia has lost more than 900 soldiers and 32 artillery systems in the war against Ukraine

As of April 24, 2026, the total combat losses of Russian forces since the start of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine amount to approximately 1,323,460 personnel. Over the past 24 hours alone, another 910 soldiers were lost.

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook.

According to updated data, the Russian army has lost:

  • tanks — 11,892 (+4 in the past 24 hours);
  • armored combat vehicles — 24,445 (+4);
  • artillery systems — 40,606 (+32);
  • multiple launch rocket systems — 1,753 (+1);
  • air defense systems — 1,353 (+2);
  • aircraft — 435 (+0);
  • helicopters — 350 (+0);
  • tactical-level unmanned aerial vehicles — 254,605 (+1,175);
  • cruise missiles — 4,549 (+0);
  • ships and boats — 33 (+0);
  • submarines — 2 (+0);
  • vehicles and tankers — 91,256 (+129);
  • special equipment — 4,134 (+0).

The General Staff noted that the data is still being refined.

Ukrainian drones destroyed three Russian anti-aircraft missile systems in a single night in the occupied territories of Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia regions. The "Tor-M2" and "Osa" systems were hit and were unable to effectively repel the attack. The operation demonstrated that Russian air defense forces do not always manage to respond even at the moment their own missiles are launched.

Shelling of the Kherson region: 40 settlements were hit, resulting in one death and 25 injuries.

Additionally, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that in March, the Russian army suffered its heaviest losses since the start of the full-scale war.

The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense released data on the advance of Russian occupation forces over the past month.
