Attacks on Kherson region: 40 settlements hit, one killed and 25 injured
Over the past day, one person was killed and 25 others were injured in the Kherson region due to Russian attacks. Kherson city and dozens of settlements in the region came under fire, targeting residential areas and critical infrastructure, Kherson Regional Military Administration head Oleksandr Prokudin reported on Telegram.
Yesterday, the Kherson region again faced massive attacks. Russian forces used drones, artillery, and aircraft. In addition to the city of Kherson, 39 other settlements were hit.
According to Prokudin, the attacks resulted in one civilian death and 25 injuries. “As a result of Russian aggression, one person was killed and 25 others were injured,” he wrote.
The strikes targeted not only military positions but also civilian infrastructure. Residential neighborhoods, social facilities, and critical infrastructure were hit. At least seven multi-story buildings and ten private homes were damaged. Additionally, an administrative building, a church, and a gas pipeline were damaged. A local minibus and private cars were also hit.
Evacuations continue in the region. Over the past day, 11 residents were evacuated from liberated communities. The situation remains tense. Attacks are ongoing, and authorities again urge residents to evacuate promptly and ensure their personal safety.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy also noted that in March, the Russian army suffered its highest losses since the start of the full-scale war.
The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine released data on the advances of Russian occupying forces over the past month.
