Russia lost 1,290 soldiers in the war against Ukraine over the past day

The Russian army’s total combat losses since the start of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine have reached approximately 1,391,950 servicemembers. In the last 24 hours alone, the Ukrainian Defense Forces eliminated another 1,290 invaders.

As of June 21, 2026, the Ukrainian military has also destroyed a significant amount of Russian equipment and weapons.

The enemy’s total losses are as follows:

  • tanks – 12,049 (+8);
  • armored combat vehicles – 24,797 (+10);
  • artillery systems – 44,479 (+93);
  • multiple launch rocket systems – 1,885 (+2);
  • air defense systems – 1,435 (+2);
  • aircraft – 436;
  • helicopters – 353;
  • ground-based robotic systems – 1,703 (+8);
  • operational-tactical-level unmanned aerial vehicles – 364,149 (+2,346);
  • cruise missiles – 4,787;
  • ships and boats – 33;
  • submarines – 2;
  • Vehicles and tanker trucks – 109,817 (+475);
  • special equipment – 4,316 (+2).

Russian forces suffered their heaviest losses over the past 24 hours in artillery, drones, and vehicles.

The General Staff emphasized that the tally of losses is ongoing, so the figures provided are subject to change.

Previously, the Russian army had lost another 1,240 soldiers in the war against Ukraine over the past day. Russia’s total losses since the start of the full-scale invasion have now approached 1.4 million people.

Every day, the Ukrainian military continues to inflict losses on the Russian army across various sectors of the front, destroying both enemy personnel and equipment. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Facebook.

A Russian airstrike on Kharkiv claimed the life of one person. Her body was found under the rubble of a building in the Kholodnohirskyi district. Meanwhile, the number of injured has risen to nine, including a six-year-old child.
