The Russian army launched an attack on the Poltava district, killing two people and bringing the number of casualties to 14, including six children.
According to him, the enemy attacked the Poltava district the day before.
Strikes were recorded on the premises of two enterprises, damaging production buildings, vehicles, and nearby residential buildings.
“The number of injured has risen to 13, including 6 children. Unfortunately, a person’s body was found under the rubble. Another person died in the hospital,” the head of the Regional Military Administration noted.
Later, the State Emergency Service clarified that the total number of victims was 14.
As a result of the Russian attack on the Poltava community, fires broke out at several industrial sites, which rescue workers quickly extinguished.
The shelling also caused an emergency power outage. Power company crews are currently working to restore electricity to consumers.
Work is ongoing at the sites of the strikes to address the aftermath of the attack and assess the damage caused.
