Russia attacked the Sumy region more than 40 times in the past 24 hours: two men were injured

From the morning of October 1 to the morning of October 2, Russian troops carried out more than 40 strikes on the Sumy region. Fourteen settlements in nine territorial communities came under fire. Two men were injured as a result of the attacks.

In the Sumy community, a 46-year-old man was injured when a Russian drone struck.

In the Bezdrytska community, a 31-year-old man was injured when an enemy drone struck.

The highest number of strikes was recorded in the Sumy and Shostka districts.

The enemy used artillery, mortars, FPV drones, UAVs, and guided aerial bombs in the region.

In the Sumy community, apartment buildings, non-residential buildings, cars, and a truck were damaged.

In the Bezdrytska community, a non-residential building was damaged.

In the Hlukhiv community, an apartment building, non-residential buildings, and a car were damaged.

In the Esman community, residential buildings were destroyed and damaged.

In the Seredyna-Budsk, Shalyhyn, and Zno-Novgorod communities, residential buildings were destroyed and damaged, and civilian infrastructure facilities were damaged as a result of earlier enemy strikes.

The Sumy Regional Military Administration reported this on Facebook.

Over the past day, Russian occupation forces carried out 741 strikes on 51 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region. 

In Pavlohrad, on the evening of October 1, Russian troops attacked the administrative building of the DTEK coal company. One company employee was injured as a result of the strike.

A fire broke out in Pavlohrad as a result of the Russian attack. The administrative building in the central part of the city caught fire.

A drone strike in the Kyiv region caused a fire in residential buildings; two people were rescued.

As a reminder, debris from a Russian drone caused a fire in a five-story building in Kyiv.

Following Russia’s nighttime attack on Kyiv, an educational institution was hit.
