Russia attacked Ukraine with missiles and over a hundred drones; hits were recorded

On the night of April 24, Russian forces launched two ballistic missiles and 107 drones at Ukraine, approximately 70 of which were of the "Shahed" type. Air defense forces shot down 96 drones, but some of them managed to penetrate the defenses.

This was reported with reference to the Telegram channel of the Ukrainian Air Force.

As noted, the attack began as early as 6:00 p.m. on April 23.

The enemy launched two Iskander-M ballistic missiles from the Rostov region of the Russian Federation, as well as 107 strike UAVs of the Shahed, Gerbera, and Italmas types, along with other types of drones.

The drones were launched from the following locations: Shatalovo, Bryansk, Orel, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (Russia), as well as Gvardeyskoye (temporarily occupied Crimea). About 70 of them were "Shaheds."

The air attack was repelled by the Ukrainian Air Force, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

According to preliminary data as of 08:00, air defense forces shot down or neutralized 96 enemy UAVs in the north, south, and east of the country.

The Air Force added that two ballistic missiles and 10 strike drones were recorded hitting nine locations, and debris from downed drones was found in two locations.

Meanwhile, the Russian air attack continues, with several drones currently in Ukrainian airspace.

Russia struck a high-rise buildingin Dnipro with a drone; there are casualties and injuries.

On the evening of April 22, explosions occurred in the temporarily occupied city of Melitopol in the Zaporizhzhia region, followed by a fire in the city. Reports indicate that an energy infrastructure facility was hit, leaving part of the city without power.

Prior to this, Russian troops carried out about 40 strikes on the Dnipropetrovsk region, using artillery, aerial bombs, and drones. The Nikopol, Kryvyi Rih, and Synelnykiv districts came under fire, resulting in reported damage.
