Russian propaganda is spreading false claims about school health screenings in an attempt to disrupt the evacuation of children

Russian occupiers have launched a large-scale disinformation campaign aimed at discrediting evacuation efforts in Ukraine.

Hostile sources are spreading false information about the alleged creation of secret bases and forced medical examinations of children in frontline areas to intimidate parents.

According to the Center for Countering Disinformation, propagandists are using fake screenshots that they pass off as official orders from the Ukrainian Ministry of Health.

These fake documents claim that mass “mandatory medical screenings” of children under 12 have begun.

“Propagandists claim that databases of children are being compiled in areas near the front lines and that mass ‘mandatory medical screenings’ of children under 12 are beginning there,” the Center reports.

The enemy is trying to convince residents that the real purpose of these actions is to conceal the final evacuation destination for minors.

In reality, such claims are complete fabrications intended to sow panic among the civilian population and undermine trust in government agencies.

Russia seeks to block people from leaving dangerous areas in order to use them as “human shields” to deter the actions of the Ukrainian military.

“The screenshots circulating purportedly on behalf of the Ukrainian Ministry of Health are fabricated. In this way, the enemy seeks to disrupt evacuation efforts and keep civilians, particularly children, in dangerous zones,” the Center’s experts emphasize.

In addition to obstructing evacuation, such statements are intended to divert the world’s attention from the actual crimes committed by the Russian Federation itself.

This refers to the illegal removal and deportation of Ukrainian children, which led to the International Criminal Court issuing arrest warrants for Russian officials.

34 children remain in the Sloviansk area despite the evacuation

In the Kharkiv region, the mandatory evacuation zone has been expanded to include the Kupianskyi district.

In Sloviansk, authorities also plan to implement the mandatory evacuation of children from areas most affected by Russian shelling.

In Kyiv, evacuation is not currently necessary; social services are assisting residents.
