Russia launched 4 missile strikes on Kharkiv
On 5 January, Russian forces carried out several missile strikes on Kharkiv, with preliminary reports indicating hits in the Slobidskyi district, according to Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov’s Telegram.
“A strike on the city has been recorded — preliminarily, in the industrial zone of the Slobidskyi district,” the mayor stated.
Later, he reported that the enemy struck the city again, roughly in the same area. In total, four missile strikes were reported on Kharkiv.
Kharkiv Regional Military Administration Head Oleg Synehubov warned:
“The enemy is striking Kharkiv. Missile danger continues. Stay in shelters.”
The full extent of damage is still being assessed, and there are no confirmed casualties yet.
The Russian Ministry of Defense cynically called the strike “an explosion at an ammunition depot”.
