Russian troops are increasingly using “Shahed” rockets to strike Ukraine’s rear areas and are changing their tactics for using drones.
According to Sergei “Flash” Beskrestnov, a radio technology expert and advisor to the Minister of Defense, after Ukrainian air defense began shooting down up to 96% of gasoline-powered “Shaheds,” Russia began increasing its use of jet-powered variants.
In addition, the occupiers are shifting from massive attacks to precision strikes. Before launching strikes, they conduct multi-stage reconnaissance, study the operations of Ukrainian electronic warfare systems, air defense systems, and radars, determine routes to bypass defense systems, and use drones equipped with automatic target acquisition capabilities.
Furthermore, according to Beskrestnov’s assessment, Russia is ramping up mass production of the jet-powered “Shaheds,” while conventional drones are increasingly being used for attacks on Ukraine’s border regions.
As a reminder, seven people were killed as a result of a massive strike on Kyiv.
Earlier, Zelenskyy warned that Russia was preparing a new massive strike.
We also recall that the Russians last launched a massive attack on Ukraine on the night of July 2. At that time, Russian forces launched 496 UAVs of various types and 74 missiles—air-, ground-, and sea-based—of various types at Ukraine.
