Russia struck 42 settlements in Zaporizhzhia
Russian troops carried out 924 strikes on the Zaporizhzhia region over the past 24 hours. Forty-two settlements came under fire. According to the regional military administration, one person was killed and 29 others were wounded, including three children.
The Zaporizhzhia region has endured one of the most intense attacks in recent times. Over the past 24 hours, Russian forces used missiles, aircraft, drones, multiple-launch rocket systems, and artillery. Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, reported on the consequences of the shelling.
According to him, the Russian army launched a missile strike on Zaporizhzhia. In addition, 21 airstrikes were recorded on Zaporizhzhia, Balabine, Tavriya, Huliaipole, Novoselivka, Dolynka, Kopani, Preobrazhenka, Mykilske, Shyroke, Danilivka, Yegorivka, Chervona Krynytsia, and Lyubytske.
Most of the attacks were carried out by drones. According to the Regional Military Administration, Russian troops used 673 drones of various types, primarily FPV drones. The following areas came under attack: Zaporizhzhia, Kushuhum, Komyshuvakha, Raiske, Stepnogorsk, Stepove, Pavlivka, Primorske, Lukyanivske, Mali Shcherbaky, Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, Shcherbaky, Novodanilivka, Novoandriivka, Mala Tokmachka, Charivne, Bilohirya, Hulyaypilsk, Vozdvyzhivka, Rybne, Varvarivka, Dobropillia, Pryluky, Staroukrainka, Sviatopetrivka, Tsvitkove, Preobrazhenka, Novoselivka, Kosivtseve, and Nove Zaporizhzhia.
The occupiers also fired rocket systems twice at Rozumivka and Vozdvizhivka.
The Russian army carried out another 227 artillery strikes on Stepnogorsk, Primorsk, Stepove, Pavlivka, Lukyanivsk, Mali Shcherbaky, Hulyaypol, Zaliznychne, Shcherbaky, Novodanilivka, Novoandriivka, Mala Tokmachka, Charivne, Bilohirya, Dobropillia, Pryluky, Rybne, Hulyaypilskyi, and Staroukrainka. “One person was killed and 29 people were injured, including three children, as a result of enemy attacks on Zaporizhzhia, the Zaporizhzhia District, and the Polohivsky District,” Ivan Fedorov reported.
According to the regional military administration, 267 reports of damage to residential buildings, vehicles, and infrastructure were received in the last 24 hours alone. Rescue workers, medical personnel, utility services, and law enforcement continue to work at the sites of the strikes, clearing up the aftermath of the shelling and assisting the victims. Authorities are urging residents of the region not to ignore air raid sirens and to take shelter during the threat of new attacks.
