Russia strikes Dnipropetrovsk region — wounded reported and buildings damaged
During the night of 29 January, Russian forces carried out a series of attacks on Dnipropetrovsk region. The strikes targeted Synelnykove and Nikopol districts, the city of Kryvyi Rih, as well as communities in Pavlohrad and Samariv districts.
The consequences of the shelling were reported by the head of the Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Hanha.
As a result of the attacks, civilian casualties were reported, along with fires and damage to infrastructure. The Mykolaivka community in Synelnykove district was hit hardest, where drones were used.
According to him, two men were injured in the Mykolaivka community. A 43-year-old victim was hospitalised in serious condition, while a 33-year-old man is receiving outpatient treatment.
The strike caused a cultural centre and a car to catch fire. Rescuers extinguished the blaze and inspected the damaged facilities. After the night-time air raid alert, local residents documented the aftermath in the morning — debris and signs of explosions were found near civilian buildings.
In Nikopol district, the Chervonohryhorivka community came under fire, with Russian forces using Grad multiple launch rocket systems.
In Pavlohrad district, particularly in the Bohdanivka community, cars caught fire following the attacks. The flames damaged vehicles and posed an additional threat to nearby residential areas.
In Samariv district, in the Pishchane community, a café building was on fire. Rescuers worked to contain the blaze and prevent it from spreading.
In Kryvyi Rih, damage was reported to a single-storey building and two passenger cars — the strike caused significant destruction to civilian objects.
It is recalled that the occupiers attacked rescuers while they were extinguishing a fire in Sloviansk.
Russian forces also struck energy infrastructure in Dnipropetrovsk region.
