Over the past 24 hours, Russian forces have carried out heavy shelling of populated areas in Donetsk Oblast. As a result of the attacks, two women were killed and four other people were injured. Communities in three districts of the region came under fire. The situation was outlined by the head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, Vadym Filashkin.
During the day, the Russian army shelled settlements in the Pokrovsk, Kramatorsk and Bakhmut districts 18 times. The greatest destruction was recorded in Pokrovsk district. In the village of Zapovidne, part of the Shakhove community, six residential houses were damaged. In Zolotyi Kolodiaz, shelling destroyed five more homes. One house each was damaged in Toretske and Kucherevyi Yar.

In Sloviansk, a high-rise building, a café, a business facility and two vehicles were damaged. In Oleksandrivka, shelling damaged an administrative building, a warehouse and a production facility.

The most tragic consequences were reported in the Druzhkivka community. In Druzhkivka, one person was killed and three others were injured as a result of shelling, and infrastructure facilities were also damaged. In Oleksiievo-Druzhkivka, another person was killed and one more was injured. In Bakhmut district, Russian forces struck the village of Riznykivka in the Siversk community, damaging a residential building.

According to the regional governor, the ongoing danger has forced the continued evacuation of civilians from frontline areas. Over the past day, 53 people were evacuated from the front line, including 22 children. “The Russians continue to deliberately target civilian infrastructure and residential buildings,” Vadym Filashkin said, commenting on the situation in the region.
Authorities are urging residents of frontline communities not to delay evacuation and to protect their lives, as shelling of Donetsk region continues both day and night.
