Russia reports an attack on a tanker in the Krasnodar Krai
The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation has leveled fresh accusations against Ukraine, claiming that a drone attacked a tanker located in the territorial waters of the aggressor country.
According to agency representatives, the incident occurred in a maritime zone near the Krasnodar Krai.
Svetlana Petrenko, the official spokesperson for the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, reported that the vessel was sailing under the Liberian flag. However, as is customary, the Russian side has not provided any substantial evidence of Ukrainian forces’ involvement in this incident.
According to the occupiers, the ship’s captain, a Turkish citizen, was injured in the explosion.
It is reported that he was hospitalized at one of the region’s hospitals, though information regarding his condition remains contradictory at this time.
Russian investigators have been extremely tight-lipped about the details of the incident. Reports in the propaganda media do not mention the name of the tanker, its exact route, or even the specific date when the alleged attack took place.
This lack of specifics often indicates attempts by the Kremlin to create yet another pretext to discredit the actions of the Ukrainian Defense Forces in the Black and Azov Seas.
Currently, there is no independent confirmation of the incident from international monitoring groups.
