The occupiers attacked Ukrainian Armed Forces positions 38 times and intensified their offensive near Pokrovsk
Since the start of the day on May 11, the Russian army has carried out 38 attacks on the positions of Ukrainian defenders, focusing its main efforts on the Pokrovsk direction.
According to the operational report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 4:00 p.m., the situation on the front remains tense but is fully under the control of the Defense Forces.
In the Pokrovsk direction, the enemy attempted 12 times to dislodge our units from their positions.
Combat clashes were recorded in the areas of the settlements of Rodynske, Novooleksandrivka, Hryshyne, Kotlyne, and Udachne, where the occupiers are attempting to advance toward Novopavlivka.
“In the Pokrovsk direction, since the start of the day, the enemy has attempted 12 times to dislodge the Defense Forces from their positions in the areas of Rodynske, Novooleksandrivka, Hryshyne, Kotlyne, Udachne, Muravka, Novopidhorodne, and Molodetske, toward Novopavlivka. Four firefights are still ongoing,” the command reports.
Russian artillery continues to shell border areas of the Sumy region; nine settlements have come under fire.
In addition, in the Northern Slobozhansky and Kursk directions, the invaders carried out 29 attacks, actively using multiple launch rocket systems.
In the Lyman sector, seven enemy assaults were recorded in the areas of Lyman, Drobysheve, and Zarichne.
Ukrainian troops are successfully repelling the attacks; another combat engagement is currently underway in this area, where our soldiers are fighting back against the aggressor.
In the Kostiantynivka sector, the enemy was active eight times, attacking near Pleshchiivka and Illinivka.
The situation near Sloviansk remains stable: Ukrainian defenders detected and repelled an enemy advance in the Riznykivka area in a timely manner.
The General Staff paid particular attention to the Southern Slobozhanskyi sector, where the Russian Federation’s army stormed positions three times in the areas of Vovchansk and Krasne Pervoye.
In the Huliaipole sector, Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers repelled five attacks, preventing the enemy from advancing toward Dobropillia and Zaliznychne.
In the Orikhiv direction, two assault attempts were recorded in the Stepnogorsk area, which also proved futile for the occupiers.
Meanwhile, no active enemy offensive operations were observed during the day in the Kupiansk, Kramatorsk, and Dnipro directions.
