Russia is using Zircon and Oreshnik missiles to destabilize the situation within Ukraine

Russia is using Zircon and Oreshnik missiles to destabilize the situation within Ukraine

Russian occupation forces are making extensive use of Zircon hypersonic cruise missiles and Oreshnik medium-range ballistic missiles to destabilize the internal situation in Ukraine and provoke negative social unrest.

This was stated in an interview with journalists by Anatoliy Gnativ, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to him, through large-scale aerial terror, the military and political leadership of the aggressor country is attempting to compensate for its failures on the front lines and achieve its aggressive objectives.

The Chief of the General Staff explained in detail the motives behind the enemy’s actions, which are directly linked to the current situation on the front lines and in the international arena.

“They (the missiles) are being used on a massive scale because Russia needs to somehow achieve the goals set by its military and political leadership,” he said.

The Commander-in-Chief emphasized that the invaders have not yet achieved significant success on the battlefield and have also proven unable to realize their own geopolitical plans through diplomatic means due to their absolute unwillingness to engage in constructive negotiations.

Given these factors, the Kremlin regime has chosen a strategy of intimidating the civilian population and destroying critical infrastructure.

Therefore, according to the Chief of the General Staff, Moscow’s only option is to terrorize Ukrainians, specifically by destabilizing the situation within the country.

The Russian authorities are counting on the constant missile threat and humanitarian hardships to sow panic among citizens. Thus, as he noted, the enemy is hoping for certain negative social processes that will facilitate the fulfillment of their objectives.

This was stated in an interview with LIGA.net by Andriy Gnativ, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
