Russian forces struck the Dnipropetrovsk region, wounding a child and several adults
Over the past 24 hours, the Dnipropetrovsk region has come under heavy attack by the Russian army, which struck five districts simultaneously more than 40 times. Six people, including a minor, were wounded as a result of the shelling and strikes by drones and artillery.
The Russian army gave the region no respite throughout the day, striking various communities in several districts at once, and these attacks reportedly came in waves—drones alternated with artillery, and the shelling targeted both residential areas and infrastructure.
The head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Hanzha, reported that over 40 attacks were recorded across five districts of the region in just 24 hours, resulting in six casualties, including a child. “Six people were wounded. Among them is a child. The enemy attacked five districts of the region more than 40 times with drones and artillery,” he noted.
The Nikopol district was hit the hardest, where the district center and several communities, including Marganetsk, Pokrovsk, and Chervonohryhorivsk, came under fire, where apartment buildings and private homes, as well as cars, were damaged, and four people were injured.
Among the injured is a 16-year-old boy who was hospitalized in moderate condition, as well as a 45-year-old woman and two men aged 18 and 39, who will receive outpatient treatment. In the Synelnykivskyi district, Russian troops shelled the Shakhtarska and Raivska communities, where a business and vehicles were damaged, once again highlighting how the attacks affect not only residential areas but also economic infrastructure.
In the Slobozhanska community of the Dniprovskyi district, even a cemetery, an agricultural enterprise, a private home, and cars came under fire, indicating an expansion of the area affected. In the Pishchanska community of the Samarivsky district, the attack caused damage to private homes and infrastructure, and two people—a 73-year-old woman and an 86-year-old man—were injured and are being treated at home.
In the Kryvyi Rih district, the Hrushevska and Zelenodolsk communities came under attack, where the consequences of the strikes have also been recorded, though the extent of the damage is still being assessed.
The region continues to live under constant threat, with strikes occurring daily and the number of casualties and damage rising, and local authorities are urging residents to be cautious and respond to air raid sirens.
