The Russians launched a massive attack on the Poltava region using missiles and drones
On the night of June 2, the Poltava region came under a massive combined attack by Russian drones and missiles.
As a result of the enemy strikes, two civilians were injured and significant damage to infrastructure was recorded.
Enemy strikes and falling debris were recorded in several settlements in the region. In the Lubenskyi district, two people sustained injuries.
Medical personnel provided emergency care to the injured; law enforcement is currently determining the exact severity of their injuries.
In addition to the human casualties, the invaders’ massive airstrike caused serious material damage. Production facilities of a private enterprise, residential buildings, vehicles, and farm buildings were also damaged.
Rescue workers quickly extinguished fires at the impact sites and prevented the spread of fire to neighboring neighborhoods.
Currently, mobile aid stations have been set up in the affected areas of Poltava Oblast, and investigative activities are ongoing. Police investigative teams, bomb disposal experts, and other specialized services are working at the sites of the incidents.
Experts are conducting a detailed survey of the affected areas to identify remnants of explosive devices and debris from aerial attacks.
Criminal proceedings regarding violations of the laws and customs of war will be investigated under the supervision of the prosecutor’s office.
Police investigators, together with representatives of the Security Service of Ukraine in Poltava Oblast, are documenting the consequences of yet another war crime committed by the Russian Federation under the procedural guidance of the prosecutor’s office.
Law enforcement officers are collecting physical evidence at the scenes of the incidents.
