Russians in the south are changing their logistics routes and ammunition supply chains — Voloshin
Russian troops are radically changing their logistics routes and supply chains for units in the southern sector due to regular strikes by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
The occupiers plan to transport ammunition using civilian passenger cars with trailers, while personnel will be moved in small groups along secondary roads.
According to Ukrainian intelligence, the Russian military command is considering moving its main ammunition depots deep into the rear. The enemy aims to position key bases more than 200 kilometers from the front line.
Near the front, the invaders plan to establish a network of smaller field depots, where stockpiles of missiles and shells will not exceed a two-day supply.
The transport of cargo to these locations will take place under strict secrecy. Russian military personnel will refrain from using standard army trucks in favor of private vehicles.
Moreover, the personnel involved in the transport operations will completely change their appearance to blend in with the local population.
“All transportation will be carried out, for example, by civilian vehicles, passenger cars with trailers. And the personnel involved in these transports must not be dressed in uniform; they must wear civilian clothing or the uniforms of utility service workers,” noted a spokesperson for the Defense Forces.
The system for supplying the occupying forces with fuel and lubricants will also undergo significant changes. Instead of traditional fuel tankers, the enemy plans to make greater use of water transport.
To this end, the Russians intend to use the ports of the temporarily occupied cities of Berdyansk and Skadovsk, where small marine tankers, roadstead tankers, and barges will call.
This was announced on air during a national telethon by Vladislav Voloshin, spokesperson for the Southern Defense Forces.
