Russians struck the Donetsk region, leaving six dead and 30 wounded
Over the past 24 hours, Russian troops attacked populated areas in the Donetsk region, killing six civilians. Another 30 people were wounded. Sloviansk was hit hardest, with five people killed and another 27 wounded.
Over the past day, six civilians were killed and another 30 were wounded as a result of Russian shelling in the Donetsk region. This was reported by Vadym Filashkin, head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration.
According to him, the highest number of casualties occurred in Sloviansk. There, five residents were killed as a result of the attack, and another 27 people were injured. One person was killed and three were injured in Druzhkivka.
The Consequences of Russian Aggression in Donetsk Oblast
Russian troops continue to strike cities and villages in the region, targeting both military facilities and civilian infrastructure. The shelling has resulted in injuries to civilians and damage to homes and other civilian structures.
Since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, at least 4,193 civilians have been killed in Donetsk Oblast, and another 10,009 people have been injured. The Donetsk Regional Military Administration notes that these figures do not include the dead and injured in Mariupol and Volnovakha, where it is impossible to determine the exact number of casualties due to ongoing hostilities.
Over the past 24 hours, the Russian army carried out more than 1,000 strikes on the Zaporizhzhia region. Ten people were injured in the attacks on Zaporizhzhia, and residential buildings, infrastructure, and vehicles were damaged. In total, 48 settlements in the region came under fire.
In the Kherson region, 15 civilians were injured over the past day due to Russian attacks. Russian forces struck settlements in the region with drones and artillery, damaging residential buildings and vehicles.
An explosion was heard in Sumy while an air raid alert was in effect in the region. There is currently no official information regarding the cause of the explosion or its possible consequences. The air raid alert was declared in the region due to the threat of Russian strikes.
