The Russians launched a ballistic missile strike on the market area in Odesa; there are casualties
On the morning of August 4, Russian troops launched a ballistic strike on Odesa. The attack targeted a crowded area near one of the city’s markets. This was reported by Oleg Kipper, head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration.
An air raid alert was declared in the Odesa region at approximately 10:37 a.m. due to the threat of a ballistic missile attack. According to the Ukrainian Air Force, a high-speed target was moving from the Black Sea toward the Odesa region.
Explosions were heard in Odesa around 10:43 a.m. Additionally, jet-powered drones were detected in the region. The all-clear for the ballistic strike threat was announced at 10:57 a.m.
According to Kipper, civilian infrastructure was damaged as a result of the attack.
“Emergency services are on the scene. Information about the victims and the consequences of the attack is being verified,” said the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration.
As of 12:01 p.m., according to Oleg Kipper, three men aged 42, 45, and 81 were injured in the attack. Their condition is preliminarily assessed as moderate. Medical personnel are providing the necessary assistance to the victims.

In Kharkiv, a Russian military strike drone hit a gas station in the city’s Shevchenkivskyi district. The attack caused an emergency at the site of the strike.
