The Russian army attacked residential areas of Kostiantynivka with phosphorus munitions
Occupying forces carried out a massive bombardment of the city’s private sector using banned phosphorus weapons.
A video of the attack was published on the official Facebook page of the 28th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after the Knights of the Winter Campaign.
Immediately after deploying the chemical munitions, the enemy struck residential buildings with a powerful FAB-1500 high-explosive aerial bomb. The devastating attack was documented by aerial reconnaissance pilots from the R.V. unit of the 3rd Mechanized Battalion, 28th Brigade.
Defense Forces’ aerial surveillance captured the moment of impact on civilian infrastructure. Military sources note that the footage is extremely distressing, showing the destructive power of Russian weaponry. The recordings clearly display the characteristic glow and scattering of burning elements typical of phosphorus shells, followed by a strike from a 1.5-ton bomb.
The brigade’s press service stated: “Russian phosphorus strikes hit a residential area — a banned weapon that burns all living things. Immediately afterward, a FAB-1500 bomb was dropped.”
Previously, Russia attacked Zaporizhzhia with drones and missiles, injuring 10 people.
Russian drones also struck the center of Novhorod-Siverskyi, leaving three people wounded.
