Russian drones attacked a railway line in the Dnipropetrovsk region
On the morning of May 12, Russian occupation forces carried out a targeted attack on railway infrastructure in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
This was reported by Suspilne.
As a result of strikes by unmanned aerial vehicles, damage to rolling stock was recorded, and one railway employee was injured.
According to Oleksiy Kuleba, Deputy Prime Minister for the Reconstruction of Ukraine, monitoring services responded promptly and warned personnel in advance of the aerial threat.
This allowed most employees to reach safe locations in time.

However, one of the train drivers did not manage to take full cover before the explosion.
“The engineer was injured by debris while heading to a shelter. He is currently receiving the necessary medical care, and his life is not in danger,” the official stated in his official report.
Medical personnel quickly arrived at the scene and stabilized the victim’s condition.
The railway worker is currently under medical supervision, and his condition is assessed as stable, which gives hope for a speedy recovery and return to work.
A massive attack by kamikaze drones caused significant damage to the railway’s technical facilities. Several locomotives and freight rolling stock were seriously damaged by direct hits and the blast wave.
Despite significant material damage, Ukrzaliznytsia’s emergency crews immediately began repair work.
Thanks to the coordinated efforts of specialists, train service in the Dnipropetrovsk region is being quickly restored to minimize delays in logistics chains.
Oleksiy Kuleba emphasized that railway workers continue to operate under extremely difficult conditions, ensuring critically important connections with Dnipro and other regions of the country.
