Russian drones struck high-rise buildings in Sumy

On the evening of July 14, Russian troops attacked residential areas of Sumy with strike drones. Apartment buildings in the Zarichne and Kovpakivskyi districts of the city were hit.

According to the Sumy City Military Administration, strikes were recorded on the roofs of residential buildings. A fire broke out at one of the locations, which rescue workers quickly contained.

Preliminary reports indicate there were no casualties as a result of the attack. Information regarding the consequences of the strike is being clarified.

As a reminder, on the night of July 8, strike drones of the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck a military airfield in Borisoglebsk, Voronezh Oblast, Russia. This airbase is home to aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces, which are used for both combat and training missions.

Over the past 24 hours, the Ukrainian Defense Forces have reduced the strength of the Russian army by another 1,260 troops. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine released updated data on enemy losses as of July 8, also reporting the destruction of a significant amount of enemy equipment.
