Russian occupiers advance near Pokrovka in Sumy region
Russian occupiers managed to advance near the occupied village of Pokrovka, located in the Krasnopil settlement community in Sumy region.
This was reported by the DeepState monitoring project on Telegram.
“The enemy advanced near Pokrovka,” the report states.
According to DeepState analysts, the village of Pokrovka is under the control of Russian invaders and is located near the border with the Russian Federation.
On 5 March, the commander of the Drone Systems Battalion, Lieutenant Colonel Vladyslav Pavlyk, call sign “Tanjirō,” reported that Russian occupiers are increasing their efforts on the Sumy direction.
“The situation is becoming increasingly tense,” he noted.
Earlier reports indicated that at least since autumn 2025, Russian occupiers have been monthly increasing the size of their group in the Sumy region.
According to the Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Dmytro Lubinets, on 6 March, Russian occupiers likely kidnapped and transported to Russia 19 residents of the border village of Sopych in the Esman community. Communication with these citizens is currently lost.
In December 2025, Russian occupiers kidnapped over 50 Ukrainian citizens from the village of Hrabovske, located on the border with Russia in the Krasnopil community of Sumy region.
In addition, Russian occupation forces are attempting to break through to the central part of Hryshyne and fully capture Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad in Donetsk region.
Recently, fighters from Lazar’s Group together with the 429th Separate Drone Brigade “Achilles” and the Joint Forces grouping detected and neutralized a Russian S-400 “Triumf” surface-to-air missile system.
Fighters of the 14th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Prince Roman the Great struck enemy equipment and drones in the Kupiansk direction.
